Dr. Sumit Singh is an international board certified dually qualified
Cranio-maxillofacial Surgeon currently practicing in Nepal.
He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from B.P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal in 2007. He received his Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Kasturba Medical College/ MCODS, Mangalore in 2010.
Ever since embarking on the journey of treating patients with complex craniofacial defects, he realized the need of sub-speciality training in the field. Dr.Sumit went on to complete the highly sought fellowship in Cleft & Craniofacial Surgery (Cleft Children International, Zurich) at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Craniofacial Surgery, Mangalore
in 2011 under Prof. Dr. Vikram Shetty. Upon completion, he went on to receive Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2017.
Having met with the criteria and clearing the examinations, Dr. Singh was conferred a Fellow at the International Board for Certification of Specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (FIBSCOMS)(USA), and the prestigious MOMS RCSEd ,The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. He completed another fellowship in Cleft & Craniofacial Surgery at GSR Institute of Craniofacial & Facial Plastic Surgery under Prof.Srinivas Gosla Reddy, thereby completing over 17 years of rigorous training in the field of Craniofacial Surgery.
Additionally, he has recieved extensive training in the field of Otoplasty/Auricular Reconstruction, CMF & Orbital Trauma,PSI,Sleep medicine, TMJ Replacement (TJR) & TMJ Arthroscopy. Having worked as the lead consultant at Nepal Mediciti, HAMS, Kantipur Dental College/KDC Hospital and almost a dozen other institutions for over a decade, Dr. Singh has operated upon a huge number of complex cases. He is also a visiting faculty/surgeon at various centres of global repute. He has guided several PhD programs and regularly runs various training courses. He serves as a faculty at many centres and has served as a reviewer for several journals
