The foundation manages centres where children with Cleft lip & Palate and Congenital Craniofacial Anomalies are operated free of charge. It runs partner cleft-centres in Nepal, India (Mangalore, Chennai, Mumbai & Kerala) and Africa . A school for cleft-children was founded in Hyderabad in the year 2009.
Cleft-Children International (CCI) helps disfigured children escape from a terrible and inhumane situation in life-a disfigurement which may prevent them from breathing, eating and sometimes speaking. So far CCI has been able to perform over 100,000 surgical interventions and train more than 500 doctors and nurses.
The medical treatment of cleft-patients requires continuous follow-up for children until they reach the age of 18, which is funded by (CCI) based on the strict quality criteria of the “Sailer protocol”
